With three dogs and a toddler, things are CONSTANTLY getting messy around here. I feel like I clean, only to turn around and find the next room turned into a disaster. Then rinse and repeat. And repeat. And repeat….
With a few years under my belt now, I have come across some products that make keeping a clean house a little bit easier and that save me a little bit of time. Today I want to share those with you and I hope that you find them as helpful for cleaning your house as I do mine. Now, just so I am clear, my house is RARELY completely clean (refer to the rinse and repeat in the last paragraph) so I don’t want you to get the idea what I am telling you that it is. But as I follow my little tornadoes around cleaning up after them, these are my favorite products!
Greenerways Organic Multi-Surface Spray | I’ve recently tried to move away from products with harsh chemicals and ingredients that I can’t pronounce. Greenerways Organic is safe to use around my family, smells great, and most importantly, cleans well! It cleans 99.9% of bacteria and germs so I don’t have to compromise my family’s health with chemicals or germs.
Sprout Kids Wovewood Baskets | If you want to keep a clean house, you have to have a place for things. Toddlers and pets both have a lot of toys and my favorite way to corral them is to use baskets. I have baskets all over my house – one for dog toys, one for books, one for puzzles, one for art supplies, one for the random kids toys that I have no idea how we end up with… you get the idea! These Sprout kids baskets are beautiful and functional. They can easily be taken apart and put together but are surprisingly sturdy.
Hoover Hard Floor Cleaner | Last year I gifted myself this for Christmas and it has been one of my favorite purchases to date. It makes cleaning all our hard floors soooo much easier! No messy, disgusting, dirty mop or bucket. No swiffer that just pushes dirt around. This is like a carpet cleaner for your hard floors. It has a tank for clean water, a tank for dirty water, and a drying feature! No scrubbing, no drying, no worrying about someone walking over your wet floor with their feet or paws, ruining your hard work. If you have hard floors and have pets and kids, you need this!
Oxi Clean White Revive | I can’t even count how many times a day I wonder where a stain came from. I have tried a ton of laundry detergents on the market that I felt got my clothes clean but didn’t make them look dull or worn out. Oxi Clean White Revive has been the clear winner. Not only does is do a GREAT job of brightening my whites, because I’m like every other blogger and like white e’rything, but it also keeps my colors looking bright! Another Amazon order to avoid the grocery store!
FurryFido | If you have pets, you need this. We have broken our dogs from their habit of getting on the bed, but they have just replaced that with getting on the couch. I’m too much of a softy to make them stay off the couch too. This product does a great job of getting all the dog hair off things like our couch quickly and easily without having to pull out the big, clunky vacuum with the even more cumbersome handle nossle. I was a little hesitant given the reviews but as long as you brush in the direction of the arrow on the handle, it works perfectly! It also works as a great lint roller!
Even the dogs got in on the cookie making mess this year
Bissel ProHeat2x Revolution Pet Pro | About a year or two ago, Chris got me the most gorgeous rug made from a sample of carpet that I loved. It is beautiful and soft… and white! (of course it is!) With three big dogs, a toddler and husband who doesn’t take his shoes off at the door, this rug didn’t stay white for long. But I can easily bring it right back to all its beautiful white glory with this carpet cleaner. It does a fantastic job and is quick and easy!
Well there you have it! What are your favorite products? What am I missing on my list?
